Wirral Health & Care Commissioning Public Question Time event

Wirral Health & Care Commissioning is inviting Wirral residents to its latest Public Question Time event.

From 6:30pm-8:00pm on Wednesday 5th June, the leadership team from Wirral Health and Care Commissioning will be at Birkenhead Town Hall to answer questions about how health and care services are commissioned in Wirral, and to listen to views on how services are currently working.

Wirral Health and Care Commissioning (WHCC) is a partnership between NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and Wirral Council. Since May 2018 the two have been working together to plan, design and commission health and care services for Wirral.

This includes the care people receive at hospitals and in community clinics, social care, and initiatives to improve public health. The partnership allows for better joined up working and better value for the people of Wirral.

The session runs from 6:30pm-8:00pm. The team will take questions from the floor for the first hour, and from 7.30-8:00pm people can speak to members of the leadership team on a one-to-on basis over refreshments.

There is no need to book, but people are asked to register on the Wirral CCG website  or via email to give an idea of numbers.

People can also submit a question in advance for any of the Question Time events by emailing

Dr Sue Wells, Chair of NHS Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group said:  “We always look forward to getting out into the community and hearing from the people we serve. Our job is to ensure that the services we design and commission meet the needs of our residents. We want people to use our Public Question Time events to give their feedback and help us shape what we do. The more voices, the better.”
