(Wirral Care Foundation offers funding to organisations and community groups that are enhancing the lives of Wirral residents)
Mike Chalton Co-owner of Home Instead Wirral and Founder of Wirral Care Foundation commented: "We are delighted to offer this funding again in 2017 as the groups we helped last year do such great work in Wirral and are making a difference to the lives of local residents."
Wirral Care Foundation (WCF) will be inviting applications in the New Year from local groups who are too small to apply for higher level funding from the larger funders but need some financial support to continue to provide a voluntary service to improve the well-being of people across Wirral.
Earlier in 2016 Home Instead Wirral set up and funded Wirral Care Foundation Community Fund and offered £2,500 to community groups who could not access higher level funding. They received 12 applications from community groups across the Wirral, which were looked at by a panel of judges. The following groups were successful in receiving funds:
Neston Angels
Operation Christmas Child (Woochurch Methodist Church)
All About Women
Clifford Grange Craft-A-Noon Club
Carers Soup and Support (West Kirby Methodist Church
