Mental Health Awareness Week - Day 4
17 May 2018
Workplaces where everyone can thrive
For many of us, work is a major part of our lives. It is where we spend much of our time, where we get our income and often where we make our friends.
Having a fulfilling job can be good for your mental health and general wellbeing.
Good mental health at work and good management go hand in hand and there is strong evidence that workplaces with high levels of mental wellbeing are more productive.
Work-related stress is one of the biggest health hazards in the workplace and sometimes can be difficult to identify.
The guide includes:
- an idea of how to manage your own mental health at work
- suggestions of how to reach out to a colleague in distress
- line manager responsibilities for supporting staff that experience distress and/or mental health problems
- an idea how you can work with others to make your workplace more mentally healthy for everyone
