Carers Week 2017 Monday 12 to Sunday 18 June

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK

The theme this year is ‘building carer friendly communities’.

Whats happening? 

Wired have pulled together a series of events to support Carers week:

Monday 12th June 

  • Photo call and official launch of Carers week (main foyer) Arrowe Park Hospital with Mayoress Ann McLachlan and Everton Ambassador Graeme Sharp 
  • Time: 10am - 4pm

Tuesday 13th June 

  • Carers Craft workshops, Easy Scrap booking (booking is essential, all materials supplied by Wired) Wired Resource Centre CH41 6HY
  • Time: 10-12pm

Wednesday 14th June 

  • Shopmobility Health & Wellbeing event. New Brighton CH45 2JT, New Brighton Shopmobility hosting an event to celebrate Carers on Wirral, Time: 10am - 3pm
  • Carers Craft Workshops, Wired Resource Centre CH41 6HY, Basic Jewellery making booking is essential, all materials supplied by Wired), Time: 1-3pm

Thursday 15th June 

  • Carers Craft Workshops, Wired Resource Centre CH41 6HY, Matchbox Crafts (booking is essential, all materials supplied by Wired) Time: 10am- 12pm 
  • Chorus for Carers, Wallasey Town Hall CH44 8ED. The Wallasey Choir and guests performing a concert to celebrate Wirral's Un-paid Carers (booking is essential, drink and buffet by Wired)
